We’ve worked with Red Cloud and the local Mid-Atlantic Overland Society to put together a fun weekend overnight camping and wheeling event at Red Cloud Off Road Park in Lorton, VA on May 17-18. For y’all near DC this will be great chance to get out of the house, use your gear, and meet some great people.
The fee will be $80 for 2 days of wheeling and camping on the Red Cloud premises. There will also be some guided night-time trail runs for those of you interested.
Registration is open on Red Cloud’s website (use the link below). A maximum of 40 trucks will be able to register to keep the trails from becoming crowded.

Event Check In
- Check in hours will be at 10-8 Duty Gear from 8:30AM to 9:15AM on Saturday, May 17
- 10-8 Duty Gear Address: 8245 Backlick Rd, Lorton, VA 22079
- Red Cloud Gate ingress hours are 9AM to 10AM (the off road park is just about 5 minutes away from the check in location)
- We are going to try to offer more flexible check-in times but can’t guarantee it! – more to come
What to Bring
On site there will be Porta-Potties, but you’ll have to pack in your own water, food, and camping gear: leave no trace principles apply. There is also plenty of access to gas, groceries, and restaurants right across the street from the park. Don’t forget the required recovery gear!
There will be a raffle for some gear that to us by some awesome vendors (TBA), all proceeds will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.
