Floor mats are really the unsung hero of vehicle modifications, but a quality pair will save your carpet, and hours of cleaning time when your buddy decides to spill his Super Double Jumbo Big Gulp all over your floorboards.
For the past 5 years I’ve been using WeatherTech’s DigitalFit Floor Liners in all of my trucks from the Range Rover to our current JKU Rubicon. I’ve always been a big fan of their fitment, and their ability to really make cleanup a breeze, especially after a week in Vermont where you can expect to track in at least 10 pounds of mud into your truck.
The WeatherTech DigitalFit Floor Liners are called DigitalFit because they are cut to perfectly match the contours of your vehicles floorboards. They also have a raised lip that traps liquid so you can easily remove them and pour out any moisture that builds up from snow, spilling coffee, or even vomit.
The only downsides I’ve experienced is in regards to cleaning because they hey have a tendency to hold dirt in them even after being hosed off. You’ll really have to scrub them to bring back the original color after a few weeks of hard use, but I just hose mine off and throw them back in the Jeep (dirt on your floor mats makes you look cool bro).
I’ve been really satisfied with the performance of the WeatherTech’s. They’ve held up exceptionally well, and if I actually did a thorough cleaning, I’m confident they would look like they just came off the factory production line. There are some alternative options available from other manufactures, but I’ve found the fit and finish of these products to be of a lower grade.
If you pick up a set of WeatherTech’s you won’t be disappointed, they really are a quality made in the USA product, and will most likely outlive your rig.
