It’s time for another DirtRoadTrip Camp Out, and this time it’ll be substantially warmer!
For those of you that came out to last years Summer Camp Out or this years Winter Camp Out, the format will remain almost the same. We’ve made a few minor changes due to the popularity of these trips which we’ve detailed below.
Date:
Saturday, July 16 – Sunday July 17, 2016
Time:
We’ll be setup by 11:00 AM and we’ll just be hanging out for the day
Where:
We’re keeping the Camp Out limited to 30 trucks, so this year we won’t be publishing the coordinates of our base camp. We will send out the coordinates 2 weeks before via e-mail. As for a general location, it will be in or around the George Washington National Forest.
How to RSVP get the Coordinates:
In order to get the coordinates, please send an e-mail to Alex@dirtroadtrip.com to let us know you’re planning to attend. The first 30 people to contact us will be put on our e-mail list, anyone after the first 30 will be put on a waiting list. Why are we doing this? We had over 30 trucks show up to our Winter Camp Out, and while we love a strong turnout, we also have to work within the constraints of our camp sites.
In your e-mail please let me know how many people are in your rig, and we will only accept one e-mail per vehicle. Now there is one caveat, if you tell us you’re coming and you don’t show up, you’ll be blacklisted and will not be able to get on our e-mail list in the future. Why? Because it’s a dick move and you’re taking a spot someone else wants. Real life happens, so if something comes up and you can’t come, just shoot us an e-mail as a courtesy and you’re good to go.
Directions:
Really Bro? We’ll send you a set of coordinates and you can figure the rest out on your own. Just try not to die in the woods, that would suck.
What You Need:
Whatever you normally take camping, if this means packing your sectional couch and loading your hot tub on the trailer, by all means do whatever makes you comfortable.
Now keep in mind, it’s going to be hot. So please bring plenty of water, and any other gear that you need. You’re responsible for taking care of your self and having your own equipment. Don’t be that guy that shows up in a Honda Civic with no water and a bag of sandwiches from Sheetz.
Really this is not an official event by any means, so remember you accept all liability for yourself. This includes but is not limited to shenanigans, Sasquatch, and stupidity. Also remember to pack out ALL of your trash, and leave no trace!
We’re looking forward to seeing all of you, drive safe and we’ll see you in the woods.
Disclaimer:
Now for the legal stuff to cover our butt’s.
This is not an organized event nor coordinated group event; we are simply telling you where you’ll find us on a particular date and time, barring any unforeseen circumstances. Hey. Great website and article. Can I manage this event with a stock 12 lr4? No winch just recovery points straps and shackles. Thanks. Andy.
Alex says
Andy, thanks for following the site. All of the trails for the camp outs are friendly for any stock 4WD.

Thank you.
