Later this week, the DirtRoadTrip crew will be heading to Huntingdon, PA to attend the 2nd annual Mid-Atlantic Overland Festival, hosted by our friends at Main Line Overland.
The Mid-Atlantic Overland Festival is an annual gathering that takes place outside of State College, PA which is better known as Happy Valley to the local Penn State students/fans and people that wish they went there. The event features seminars on vehicle dependent travel, first aid, vehicle recovery, and more (fly fishing!). It also includes hands-on training courses and self guided trail rides through Bald Eagle State Forest.
This year the, event is also being held in conjunction with the Touratech Rally which is one of the largest gatherings of ADV riders on the East Coast. There are also some other special guests that will be attending the event, along with a strong contingent of our friends from the Mid-Atlantic Overland Society. Last but not least, our colleagues from American Adventurist will be camping with us, so if you want to meet the best Scott Brady impersonator on the East Coast (AKA Tim Bleau), come on by.
Happy Hour
You know that we don’t come to an event without planning to throw a party so make sure to come and join us on Friday and Saturday from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM for a cold one at Camp DRT. Ben and I will be hanging out with the rest of the team and we’d love for you to drop in and say hi. We’ll have plenty of coolers and fridges filled with the good stuff, and if you think you’re any good at corn hole, consider this an official challenge.
If you’re having trouble finding us, look for the giant flag or the guys in awesome looking American Flag shorts.
We hope to see all of you at the event this year. Drive safe and we’ll see you soon!
