If you missed the Spring Uwharrie OHV Jamboree, don’t miss your chance to make it to the Fall Event.
The Uwharrie Fall OHV Jamboree is hosted by Scott Fields at the Uwharrie Off-Road Training Center down in Uwharrie, NC. We went down earlier this year for the Spring OHV Jamboree, and all I can say is that it was worth the 6 hour drive.
Here’s what you need to know:
When: October 17, 2015 – Gates Open at 9:00 AM
Where: Uwharrie Off-Road Training Center (across the street from the world famous Eldorado Outpost)
Why: The Uwharrie Fall OHV Jamboree is a 100% free to attend event, Scott doesn’t charge an entry fee and encourages anyone interested or involved in the 4-wheel drive community to stop on by. There are also helicopter rides, trail runs, numerous vendors, and did I mention HELICOPTER RIDES?!?!
We’ll be making our way down to Uwharrie for what will probably be our last trip to North Carolina for the year, and mainly because I was guilted into going really want to see our friends at the Triad Jeep Club.
We’re looking forward to seeing all of the familiar faces, and we can’t wait for the inevitable “quick” night run that always turns into a 4 hour affair.
If you’re itching for a last minute trip before the Uwharrie National Forest closes for the winter, you should make the drive down. I mean think about it for a second, the worst case scenario is you get to see a bunch of awesome rigs, eat a tenderloin biscuit from the Outpost, and get a helicopter ride.
