Adventure Journal isn’t a small pet-project, quite the opposite actually. I’d consider it one of the big-time outdoor blogs, and it covers a broad swath of subjects all generally related to, you guessed it – Adventure (loosely defined). My favorite sections are “Weekend Cabin” and the Essays, especially the opinion pieces that are really well done and on point.
Statistics, numbers – we sure appreciate ’em. One of the unique things that Overland Live brings to the table is some more analytical-leaning content that satisfies a curiosity we didn’t even know we had. But, in addition to selling stuff, Huckberry‘s “Journal” churns out some really engaging content, including some overlanding-specific write-ups. Two of my favorite articles currently in their journal are “How to MicroAdventure, Fall Camping Edition” and of course, “Rally with Northwest Overland.”
